Case Studies
In this section, we present our results obtained in the framework of completed projects. These results illustrate: how systems pharmacology modeling can be applied to the discovery and development of new drugs; during which stage of drug discovery and development projects can gain the most benefits from the use of mathematical models; in what terms the model can be constructed and applied.
- Application of a systems pharmacology model to understand the complex PK/PD behavior of the anti-asthmatic drug Zileuton
- Prioritization of potential targets appropriate for the development of “best-in-class” drugs
- Prioritization of potential targets to evaluate the risks/benefits of the development of new drugs against celiac disease
- Exploring the nature of biomarker responses to various dosages of an FAAH inhibitor
- Application of age-dependent aggregation of amyloid beta to possible pharmacological targets in Alzheimer’s disease
